That's An Order V1.2.1

Updated with data from the June 2012 Issue of Previews

DISCLAIMER:  This information is provided absolutely free, and in no way implies any connection with any comic price guide or publisher.

The run time executable file changed on 1/1/2007.  If you do not have version 1.2.1, Please be sure to download the latest run-time file.

I've broken TAO up into the parts that will allow you to only download what you need.  If you don't have the latest version (1.2.1), you should download the TAO runtime file as well as the current monthly order file.

Generally, assuming the runtime file has not changed, and as long as TAO is installed on your machine, you will only need to download the latest data file (TAO_1206.EXE),

Archive:

The files for all the prior months of data, beginning 01/01/2010, can be found here, if anyone is interested:

OK, here's what you need:

1.  The latest Previews Data file (TAO_1206.EXE)

This is a self extracting zip file that contains the database file with the latest Previews data.  It is currently updated with the June 2012 data.  You need to download this file each month.

IMPORTANT:  This file will overlay your previous file, but your previous orders are written to the Order History database (orderhistory.mdb) so you can still access those.

ORDERS.MDB This is the database that contains the June 2012  Previews items from which you will create your order. Each month you will replace the old file with this, most current one.

2. TAO run time executable file (TAO_RUNTIME.EXE)

This is a self extracting zip file that contains the executable file thay TAO runs.  You always need the latest version of this file.   Currently, that is version 1.2.1, updated 01/01/2007.

ORDERFRM_MM.RPT This file is required to produce the order form report from the order summary window.   If you've already entered an order, but didn't have this file, click here to download this file only, and save it in the same directory where TAO is installed.

3.TAO runtime files you need to download only once, the first time you install TAO (TAO_ONE_TIME_ONLY.EXE)

This is a self extracting zip file that contains the additional files necessary to run the application.  These files will overlay any existing files and wipeout any data they may hold.  Therefore, these should only be downloaded and installed the first time, or if you wish to start over.

 Creating Shortcuts to files:

If you're fairly new to windows, this sometimes seems like a pain, but it's really pretty easy.
  • Open Explorer
  • Find the file you wish to run (ROWORDERS.EXE, in our case)
  • Drag it off the explorer window and drop it anywhere you want on the desktop
  • Single click on the label below the icon - it will say "Shortcut to Valupdate32.exe"
  • Change the label to anything you want
