Restricting which issues to Update
and / or Searching the Update Database
The Find Issues window gives you the opportunity to search for issues using
selection criteria based on any fields in the table. If, for example, you want to see how
all the Ultimate Spider-man titles have been doing over the last few
months, you can do that from here.
This works exactly the same way the Find Issues window
in Realms works.
It's important that you understand that whatever you currently have
displayed in the Update List
serves as the starting point for the update process.
Therefore, if you use the Find window, and select only issues for
Amazing Spider-man, and then run the update, it will only update Amazing
Spider-man.
You can scroll down for more info, or click on the image above to bring
info related to the specific button/field to the top of this frame.
- Data Field Value
- Enter the value to search for in any of the corresponding text boxes.
Don't forget about using the asterisk (*) as a wild card character. For example, if you
are looking for all titles with the words "Lady Death" anywhere in the title,
you would enter "*Lady Death*" as the value for which to search
- Listing current values (for easier selection)
- If you're not sure what values already exist on the database (for
example, if you not sure whether to look for "Crow, The" or "The
Crow"), you can click the Show Data button (which changes to Hide
Data when the data is showing). This will bring up a list of all the current
values for the selected field. You can then simply select from the list. This makes data
entry considerably more accurate.
- Available fields to search by
- All the fields by which you can search are listed here. Enter the desired
value in the corresponding text box, and then select the Find (And)
button to begin your search
- Search Options
- Turn on the Cue Cards in the application, and move the
mouse over any of these buttons to get more information on what they mean and how to use
them.
